Stegobium paniceum — the bread or drugstore beetle.
The specimen shows the small, oval body form typical of the family Ptinidae, with a rounded pronotum that partly conceals the head from above and fine, parallel lines along the elytra. These characteristics align well with the bread beetle’s morphology, a species known for its association with stored food products today but with ancient fossil representatives dating back to the Late Cretaceous (94–90 million years ago).
